The MINI Showroom Concept is a concept that we presented introducing the first touchscreen POS system at MINI showrooms. The idea is to simply guide MINI customers through a configuration and product experience.
BriefThe client was very open for new ideas regarding the future of Point-of-Sale self-service systems showcasing the world of MINI products, so we self-initiated a guided concept through configuration and product experience.
IdeaSince the brief was quite open we wanted to design a nice and intuitive interface that interacts with miniature models of available MINIs, exterior color samples and miniature rims that were placed on a stand next to the touchscreen interface. The idea of letting users play with mannequin versions of configurable parts and to interact with the touch-device let the idea become a nice prototype that the client didn't expect in such short time and was quite happy with.
ExecutionBased on simple configuration process signed with icons we designed users could simply upload their personal roof design via USB or drag their configuration in the sensitive area on the top the screen. Another fun job was to design the Individualizer that showed the individuality of your current configuration based on globally sold configurations.
